Review of the Razer Blade 15: If you have the money, it's definitely worth it.
INTRODUCTION
It's expensive, but it works well and the quality of
its design is unmatched.
When you think about gaming laptops, luxury probably
isn't the first thing that springs to mind. After all, they have stylish, or
should we say extra flamboyant, lighting bars and dot matrix displays built
into their lids. The Razer Blade 15in Laptop feels like a step into luxury for portable
gaming computers because of how well it works, how well it's made, how stylish
it is, and how much it costs.
Ø Design
The 2022 Blade 15 looks almost the same as the ones
that came before it. Some people think that it really needs to be changed. Even
after many years, I still enjoy how the Blade 15's aluminium chassis and sleek
aesthetics make me feel. I'd prefer Razer to add complete RGB compatibility to
the logo backlighting in the lid, though. I know that Razer likes neon green,
but it seems strange that you can't choose the colour you want on a
high-quality computer like this one.
Razer Razer Blade 15 (2022)
Pros
• Excellent
build quality
• configuration/screen has a lot of settings.
• A strong showing
• The new webcam
has a resolution of 1080p.
• Great choices
for ports
Cons
• Costly
• This battery
is a decent one.
Power plugs that have their own design
Inside the Blade is a big glass trackpad that is one
of the best you can find on a Windows laptop.
The keycaps on the new 2022 model are bigger, and
each key has its own Chroma illumination.
A little modification in design is that the laptop's up-firing speaker no longer has its own cutout
This year, Razer made the grille directly on the
deck by using lasers to cut the wood.. This makes it more durable and keeps the
design simple. In 2022, a webcam with 1080 pixels will be the new one. It's a
step forward over the 720p cameras that came with prior generations. Lastly,
there are a lot of ways to connect: two USB-C connections (one of which
includes Thunderbolt 4), three USB-A ports, HDMI, a headphone jack, and a big
SD card reader.
Ø Display
Our test device, which costs $3,700, has a 15.6-inch
QHD screen with 240Hz that is the appropriate size and resolution. I would just
like it to be a little bit brighter. Razer says that all of the LCD displays on
the Blade are made to be 300 nits bright. But when I used a lightmeter to
evaluate the brightness, I got closer to the 275-nit mark. It's good enough for
most situations, but if you're in a bright room, the colours could look a little
muddy. Razer also has various variants with 144Hz and 360Hz screens. In the
recent month, Razer announced a 120Hz OLED option. This implies that there are
a lot of possibilities for displays.

Ø
Being a competent gamer
Razer has the latest 12th-generation Intel H-series
processors and Nvidia RTX 30 series GPUs for speed. But they don't come cheap.
For example, the Blade 15 from 2022 starts at $2,500 for an i7-12800H with 16GB
of RAM and an RTX 3060 Ti. It will cost $4,000 for a device that has everything:
an i9 processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 3080 Ti.
In the meantime, I'd like to point you that the most
storage you can have is 1TB. But if you want additional space, the Blade 15 has
two M.2 slots, and one of them is already full of data when you buy it. If you
are prepared to take off the lower panels of the laptop and the SSD cover, it
will be easy to put in another disc. Make sure you just use single-sided
devices, since M.2 sticks with two sides won't fit.
It's worth the price, but Blade 15 can play with the
best of them. When playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1920 x 1080 with the
maximum graphics settings, our Core i7 with RTX3080 Ti got 124 frames per
second, which is a little slower than the $1,800 Asus Z13, which comes with a
$1,400 mobile graphics dock that you can buy separately. (If you keep track,
that's the total for all $3,200.) Other games had similar results, as Blade 15
getting 86 fps on high settings in Metro Exodus and 81 fps on Ultra settings in
Forza Horizon 5.
Ø How long a battery Last
In actuality, the Blade 15's biggest shortcoming (besides its price) is how long the battery lasts.
When we played a local video until the battery died,
it barely lasted 5 hours and 42 minutes. It's about the same as what we saw
with an Asus Flow Z13. (5:38) If you've been keeping up with us, you know that
it's a PC gaming tablet. The Blade 15 lasted less than three hours less than
the Alienware x14 (7:57) and four hours less than the Asus Zephyrus G14.
(9:45). The Blade 15 isn't as good in real life. It doesn't get much better.
Blade 15 had a hard time getting through two games of Teamfight Tactics back-to-back,
which took about an hour and fifteen minutes of rather easy-going gaming. Also,
Shadow of the Tomb Raider runs worse on the Blade when it's running on battery
power, with frame rates dropping to 45 frames per second.
The charging brick for the Razer is also a problem.
Even while the proprietary design of the connector is scary because the power
adapter has 230 watts, the right-angle construction implies that if you plug it
in wrong, it will block one or two USB-A ports. In all honesty, USB-C won't be
able to send high-watts of electricity for a long time.
Ø Wrap-up
Even if the Blade
15 isn't as sleek or small as the newest 14-inch gaming gadgets, it still has a
lot to offer. There's something that could be thought of as a very expensive
alternative. It's costly, and the fact that it has a 15.6-inch screen and
weighs 4.4 pounds might mean you can't put it in your regular messenger bag. It
also has high-quality parts, a strong frame that doesn't stretch much, and an
amazing performance in a smooth and (relatively) less serious design. Besides
that big brilliant branding.
In a way, it's a
good decision. The Blade 15 is a great way to replace a current desktop,
especially for people like me who don't want to lug around a big 17-inch gaming
system. Unlike the ROG Flow Z13 that came before it, you don't need a separate
graphics dock to get the best frame rates. With a lot of ports, you'll be able
to leave all your dongles and adapters at home. This implies that it's true
that the Blade 15 isn't a good choice for folks on a tight budget, but if you
can afford it, it's a great device.

Ø Bottom Line
Even though the Razer Blade 15
doesn't have fancy (and, to be honest, unnecessary) features like the Animatrix
displays on the front of the Asus Zephyrus G14 or the dual displays on the RO G
Zephyrus Duo 15 SE, it still has one of the best designs for gaming laptops,
with plenty of ports right where you'd expect them to be on its edges
